Heathfield High School - Student training day 3

Hey everyone we are back in action.

Yesterday, the 26th July 2019, we had our 3rd workshop with the Grade 8 and 9 Learners at Heathfield High School. Nikki held the very successful session, and did a fantastic job. Out of the 30 learners that are part of the club, only 13 came. So next week when we carry on with the topic the rest of the learners will sadly be a bit lost.

So what did we do yesterday? After a long wait from the learners, we finally started programming. The workshop started off with a brief explanation of what programming and programming language is, and a few examples of some programming language sites. From there we went straight into what the workshop was about, namely - HTML. In the just over an hour Nikki was there, she covered the basics of HTML which consisted of giving the learners the basic and fundamental tags that are necessary when doing HTML.

And then next week when we return, we will carry on from where we left and do the more confusing part of this topic. But at the beginning of the next workshop there will be a small test for them to see whether they have grasped what was covered yesterday.

Thanks again Nikki for hosting such a great workshop with the learners yesterday.

Stay tuned for our next workshop at Heathfield.

Signing out the,
